Our Vision

The vision of Three Rivers Regional Assembly (TRRA):

  • To foster and nurture leadership.

  • Be acknowledged, accepted, and known as the voice of the Aboriginal peoples within the TRRA footprint.

  • Enhance Governance and Management to strengthen cultural integrity within local and regional communities.

  • Encourage transparency, consistency and accountability in all decision making within local and regional communities.

Our Aims

The Aims of Three Rivers Regional Assembly (TRRA):

  • To work together to progress positive change for Aboriginal peoples across the Three Rivers Regional Assembly footprint;

  • Work towards ensuring Aboriginal communities have a real and genuine voice in negotiations/consultations in determining what services are being developed and implemented through mutual respect and understanding;

  • Improve and ensure accountability between Aboriginal peoples, Three Rivers Regional Assembly and the many organisations that deliver services to Aboriginal communities across the Three Rivers Regional Assembly footprint.

  • Report on outcomes to member communities.

The values of Three Rivers Regional Assembly (TRRA):

  • Mutual respect and understanding – we respect ourselves, we respect others and, in all negotiations, we will seek to understand and be understood.

  • Cultural sustainability – honouring our past, preserving our artifacts and places; and ensuring intergenerational knowledge transfer.

  • Cultural participation – we will encourage the Communities within the footprint to participate at a local level knowing that the more people we have participating the stronger we will be. As members and delegates, conduct is guided by the following principles and values:

  • Honesty, Integrity, Transparency, Selflessness, Professionalism, Commitment, Leadership, Confidentiality & Accountability to our communities and to each other within the footprint.

‘Three Rivers Regional Assembly - Regional Industry Based Agreement, Health Scholarship’

Three Rivers Regional Assembly (TRRA) acknowledge the low rate of Aboriginal employment and people working within the health industry. To encourage and support Aboriginal participation within the health industry TRRA have negotiated with NSW Government, an allocation of funding that can assist with costs associated with training, education, and employment. This scholarship can assist applicants with any costings associated with items that are not currently funded or available from other service providers, for items that fall through the cracks of other funding providers. Applicant can apply for up to $1000. If you have any further enquiries in regard to accessing the scholarship, please contact your local TRRA delegate.
